Started at 6:30am and travelled through the trees to approx 5200' just above treeline. Deep and laborious setting the skintrack but no instability noted on ascent. Dug 4ft pit @ 5200' /SW aspect substantially below ridgeline but in open and found fist hardness for entire pit depth. ECTN6 @ 8" and ECTN11 @ 14" and ECTN14 @ 18". There was a ever so slight layer on these but they were not cohesive and likely the storm slabs from the recent snow falls. Skiing down was heavy but managable. Treewells are HUGE so give wide berth. Managed to get a slight break on a convex rollover but didn't gain mass or travel far. No photos, left phone in car by accident.
