Comments:
We observed 4-6 loose slides that had run that morning before 12 noon. All started just below the 5400' ridge running NNE. One of them passed through a stand of trees and stopped at the bottom of an opening. The others ran in the open. They were roughly 50-ft wide and ran about 75 vertical ft (200 ft along slope). We saw no other instability while we were there. No slabs, no cracks, no whumpfing, and no additional releases after noon. By 4pm the snow was visibly settling (consolidating) downward away from the lower branches of trees.
None reported
Snowfall ended before 11am. Temperature was 30F at Stevens Pass at 11am and felt about the same all day at 5000' elevation. Light intermittent breeze (60cm (24") to reach resistance.
