Dug a quick pit on the west side of Source lake as the snow felt a little punchy. (https://www.gaiagps.com/public/LSdKPYPyZyycB15eY67vRePK)

Snow depth ~130cm (but I might have been resting on low trees)

Pit depth 80cm

Hand hardness
0-1cm - new crust forming
1-15cm - soft fist
15cm-25cm -(3) crusts, between pencil and knife, approx 1.5cm-2.5cm thick each. Very soft 4 finger in between layers (probably soft fist if I could fit it)

25cm down - hard 1 finger to pencil

No column test, there was a tree in the way
