Starting biking WA 165 outside the gate at 530. Approached via Spray park trail. Found snow at 6500'. Snow was still firm and dividied by rock bands below the Flett glacier so we hiked until we got to Russell. Some smaller superficial cracks in the concave sections of the Russell glacier and small amounts of isolated debris. Started skinning at 7500' and topped out at 9150' along the ridge above Observation Rock. Began out descent at 12:30, snow was pleasantly soft. Descended to 7500' in the Russell glacier and traversed to the Flett. There we found another ~1500ft of soft snow navigating between bands of rock.
