We saw lots of expected evidence of the slab activity from the recent natural cycle on terrain between 6000 - 7000ft and on a wide variety of aspects.

Muted sunlight kept the temps cool, and the widespread supportable crust is overlaid with a variety of textures and qualities of snow. We skied some amusing dust on crust in a west-facing burn at and just below treeline. The descent back to lower elevations was memorably comical.
