No new avi activity today. Much cooler temps (28 F at 8250') clouds, and winds )25-30 mph) slowed the rapid melt from the last few days. In the early morning, show was soft until 7,000' and then hard above that. There was enough sun in the late morning to soften snow up to the rim, but climbers down bound were going ankle deep instead of knee deep like on Friday.
Cornices on the east side of the rout at around 5,000' continues to fail. The rim cornice at 8300' seems to have made it through the hot spell. It extends 6-8 feet over the air right now.
