Increasing snowfall through the day. Winds strong enough to transport the new snow at ridgeline. Subtle rise in snow level at snowpark upon return at 13:00.
Not many . . . . . big rollerballs of the steepest slopes and a few wet loose to D1.5. No signs of slab avalanches from the last storm 4/6-7.
5cm crust under the new snow, softer at higher elevations. Small, wind drifted features, cornices, etc. building by noon, all comprised of new snow. Suspect that will continue through the afternoon. At lower elevations the rain crust and sun crust from the last round of high pressure merged, higher there were two distinct crusts with a few cm's of moist snow between (that fell earlier on 4/6 probably). Crust thickness and the small amount of wetting in the upper spx points toward Canyon Creek seeing significantly less precipitation in the last storm.
