Comments:
Triggered 2 soft slab avalanches descending from the Kendall ridge toward Kendall trees. Crowns were 6-12 inches breaking on a layer an inch or 2 above the new crust layer. A ski cut triggered a 30 ft wide propagation on a rollover feature. First slide ran for around 100 vertical feet.
Went to check out the Kendall couloirs via Kendal lakes but saw wind effect and increasing shooting cracks as we ascended.
Ridgetops were quite gusty and wind affected. Both W and N facing runs near the ridge line had sections of wind scoured firm snow and deeper deposits in pockets.
Looking into the silver creek basin there was evidence of slides from the rain event before the cool down.
