Traveled to Ptarmigan Ridge via South Table and back via Corner Pocket. Weather was calm with high clouds all day, and by 11am some sun breaks through the rest of our tour, improving visibility. Hard crust on southern aspects as expected. Due north aspects held great quality snow down to approx. 4,000ft, where it got heavy; everything else was heavy or sun affected. On north aspects, first two inches or so caused some dry sloughing otherwise stable snow. Did not observe any wind effect. Solid snow coverage down to Wells Creek @ 4,100'.
Observed large gaping glide crack on NE aspect of Video Peak, and a couple more recent avalanches: One on Coleman Pinnacle N aspect, from a distance looked to be a D2 loose dry, running about 100 feet. Another near Sesame Street (W aspect Table), loose wet, D2.
