Observations

Another practice pit today on top of Hyak. Above 3500 the wet surface is freezing into a crust. The upper 70cm of snow is nice soft slightly damp small rounds. Did a deep tap test to see if the crust at 65 would collapse - no result. A "deep shovel shear" got an easy to moderate result at 45. Will poke around at that layer a bit more in the coming days...
