Clear and cool, light winds with gusts to moderate starting midday.
No new other than minor sluffing . . . despite full sun solars never warmed enough to produce any wet loose.
East wind redistributed 30cm of F-4F new snow onto lee slopes Feb 22-23. Good visibility allowed for a full survey of NTL + ATL terrain around Hwy 542 with some peaks and ridges seeing major wind effect while others were still smooth and mostly undisturbed. No large avalanches from recent wind loading were evident. Wind slab layers were unreactive on test slopes, with hand shears, etc.
Faceting stellar grains found any place the wind didn't get to - didn't see much SH but it was reported from other areas around the Baker BC. Solars warmed enough there should be a crust. The top 30cm of light snow was not well bonded to the crust/frozen wet snow that fell earlier on the 19-20th. Weak snow at and near the surface will likely be a factor with additional new snow and wind slab layers in the next 24-36hrs.
