Pea Gravel Pit (sorry for measurements I'm one of them stinky Canadians eh?)
HS 335cm. aspect NE. incline 33. air temp -16.5C(2.3F). elevation 1815m(5955ft). time 1400
ECTN14↓ 50. ECTN23↓65. ECTN30↓85 on MFcr
A couple CT's produced similar results, sudden collapse in storm snow and resistant planar on the crust
Didnt find any surface hoar, all shears were repeated
Top 70cm was fist to 4 finger density
Picked a somewhat conservative line through open glades, no significant wind affect or cracking observed. Some sluffing on steeper features.
15cm thick MFcr down 85 was the bottom of the pit.
Holy moly thats a lot of storm snow, unreal ski conditions.
