Purposely was kicking above the thunder creek exit to test n side stability and knocked a 1ft deep soft slab that propagated. No visible wind effect.Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations
Observed poor adherence of current snowfall to previous wetter layer. Approx 8-12 inches of lower density on top of a wet consolidated layer at about 5k elevation. Mostly it behaved as sluff but in steeper terrain it propagated and some were large enough to at least partially bury. However that was in cliffier terrain where that is expected. The snow behaved well in not very steep terrain. Photos of extending cornices (getting more scary overhung) and of slab propagation in the exit.
