My partner and I observed the 12/9 crust buried about 15- 20 cm down. Throughout our tour I was digging quick hand pits and easily locating the layer of buried surface hoar and weaker snow above the crust. As of 12/14 there was not a cohesive slab on top of these layers, but it seems like there soon will be. We had one notable collapse at the summit ridge of Mt. McCausland on a pocket of wind drifted snow ( Possibly overlaying this weaker snow?). We skied W-E- S aspects and found the SH and weak snow combination on all of these aspects.
