Observations

Skied east peak into cement basin and back (6900’ 30*-35* slopes). 1-4” of recent snow more scoured from west facing and deposited on east facing. New snow was on top of stout previous surface crust. Numerous quick pits on east and west facing slopes isolating storm snow revealed unconsolidated loose snow well bonded to crust. No instabilities experienced.
Skinning was tough, especially on west facing. Ski crampons would have been nice. Very light winds and mild weather today. Skiing was far better on east side than west. Quite nice, actually.
