Soft cornices were very easy to kick off triggering loose dry avalanches. D1 dry loose avys were following skiers down steep fresh lines.
None reported
Steep and deep in the crystal backcountry. Large fridge size cornices were very easy to kick off, picture series of one of the smaller cornices I kicked off.
1-2 ft of snow was generally dry, stable, upright and well bonded to the underlying crust on northerly aspects. No wind slabs were observed despite very large cornices.
