Strong winds up high were moving available snow from ~8500 feet and higher. Below 8500 feet, winds were a bit lighter and sun affected snow surface limited snow available for transport.
South, Southeast, and Southwest facing slopes from below McClure rock to the golden gates, 7000' down to 6000' were beginning to get a bit wet by 2 PM, but not yet showing significant rollerballs or other loose wet indicators. The lower slopes (golden gates) were getting to be slightly heavy corn-like snow on the way down.
