On the way up:
We climbed around the bergsrund to climbers left. Snow felt stable all way up.
Crossed over to the couloir that we then climbed up. Did snow tests all way up and snow felt good.
Couloir up to Pearly Gates were very stable and we turned around under Pearly Gates.
At this point we did not see any weak layers in the snow.
On the way down:
Skied the couloir, did a few ski cuts and snow felt great all way down the end of the couloir.
Stopped. Regrouped. (two skiers)
Did an intentional, hard ski cut with speed towards the Hogsback ridge which went exactly like planned and it all cracked and slid down.
Aspects further down the mountains was stable and creamy fun skiing.
Be careful out there, even on a day like today when it was level 2 out of 5 on the avalanche scale some places can still be unstable. So, always read the avalanche report AND be aware when you are out there which is VERY important!
