Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Surface hoar starting above 5200ft on East to SE facing slopes. Increasing in size and density up to the Summit House (~6800ft) at Crystal. Significant enough to make me stop and think that this could be a problem later down the road. Thick, soft snow in the sun, and dry powder in the shade. Big roller balls on the sunny side of Campbell basin later in the day. Although my tour track was in a different area around Crystal, I concur with Gus's observations for the day.
