Wind drifts throughout the south climbers route. At about 10,150’ below crater rock, we encountered an isolated region of about 4” of wind blown snow which was released with several of our steps down to the same firm crust. Given the sleep slopes and consequence of a potential avalanche path, we accepted the exercise and called it a day.
