Fleur de Lis N 5000ft |
D1.5 | U-Unknown | Report |
Was able to easily release small loose slides from steeper features below 5,000ft by 10am, and noticed a number of mostly small, very recent natural loose wet slides from steep NTL/BTL terrain. One slide was larger (D1.5 in Fleur de Lis) but unknown if it initiated as a storm slab or loose slide with poor visibility.
Slightly upside-down new snow in the morning, but was not super dramatic. Tilt tests did highlight the new/old interface about 20cm down on a NW aspect at 5,400ft. I also found the 3/8 layer containing small dry facets above the early March crust, 30cm down in this location, on a windward aspect.
