~30cm HST previous night with moderate to strong winds. Moderate wind continued throughout the day but the snowfall subsided. Temperature was 29F at Pan Dome (5020') midday.
Wind slab was main problem listed for day (3/2/1) although secondary problem of wet loose avalanches appeared to be most prevalent, aside from this one report from a higher elevation.
Suspected D2. Called a hard slab due to fracturing above party. Victim was carried 100' but unknown total length.
Gathered from observation: 3 in party (at least one was a skier), accidental trigger near top of path, breaking 5' above the trigger. Two were caught but one was able to avoid being carried downslope. One was carried ~100ft downslope and was partially buried. Other two recovered the victim, unharmed.
