Weather Summary

Obscured through the morning through midday with periods of rain, sleet, etc.

Avalanche Observation Comments:

Lost track of all the crowns in the small area observed, and with poor visibility even . . . many crowns in unusual locations, crowns wrapping around terrain features, releasing on lower angle than usual terrain, connecting through terrain that previously I would not have considered connected. Normal big producers in these events like the north aspect of Table lived up to their reputations and put big debris piles out in the flats in Upper Bagely. Couldn't tell the exact timing of any of observed avalanches but seems like a combination of storm slabs from Monday and wet slabs overnight into the morning. Natural loose wet to D2.

Snowpack Observations

Top 30cm very wet, weak MF grains over moist, pencil slab down to 2/26. Water working its way down through HST but not concentrated in any one layer. 2/14 crust intact but 2/19 decomposing and hard to discern. End result should be a strong, solid upper snowpack with the end of precip, snowpack drainage and cooler temperatures. Ski pen 30cm going on 60cm breaking trail through deep, thick snow.
