We skied from Lot 4 at Alpental up to Snow Lake where we did a few laps on the south side of the lake. The north aspect on the south edges of Snow Lake had great powder Saturday morning through midday, about 6" to 12" of soft, dry powder. South aspect of Chair peak off Source lake had hard punch crust with variable snow quality. Large layer of surface hoar had developed in this area.
