Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Started off on North aspect attempting to go up Marble Mountain but had to turn back less than a mile down the trail due to a washed out bridge. Snow on north aspect was very fluffy and still powder from the President’s weekend storm. South aspect to June Lake had mostly crust after some apparent freeze thaw cycles this week. Due to low angles no snowpack tests were performed. Just north-west if June lake towards Helens we saw some large cornices but no signs of breakage.
