Sheltered and shady slopes from pass-level to 5k held very fine snow, enhanced by low-density snow overnight. Selecting a pure N aspect apparently helped us avoid the windscouring we had found yesterday.
Instability was confined, in our experience, entirely to loose-dry. Easily triggered, running perhaps an average distance. Beginning ~mid-day, plenty of small loose-dry sluffs ran naturally.
Surface snow consolidated slightly through the day, perhaps especially with sunbreaks. After traveling on soft snow all day, we were surprised to encounter a suncrust on solar slopes below 4k as we returned home.
