Comments:
D1 wet loose on east aspect at 4100 around 11:00 +- 30 mins. We had a small cloud break, the sun came out for a minute or so and triggered the small slide. Even though it was a small D1, it was right above a steep slope with a nasty terrain trap below.
None reported
Pinwheel galore in all Guye Peak's aspects. Every 10 minutes or so I'd break a soft crust and go knee deep in the snow. Other than that it was all wet sticky snow. That is until the north aspect, on the ridge towards the summit at 4700'. We found a very hard crust 2-3 cm below the surface. It was hard to break it even with the ice ax's spike.
Turned around there so I don't have further info on upper section.
After the small wet loose we saw, it became overcast again and the snow seemed to firm up a little bit.
