Observations
We went up to the saddle below the castle and skied down the south side. Was mixed ice/wind pockets on the pitches below the castle on the north side. The south aspects skied surprisingly well, but were warming up fast by 1pm with rollers on steeper slopes near the ridge line.
We dug a pit at 5600’ NE aspect near the up track. CT23Q2 on the facet sandwich at a depth of 50cm.
